SimsPremiere Challenges aim to provide an interesting concept to movie makers and ask them to produce an entertaining movie within the confines of the concept. Movies are judged by SP directors and partners on the basis of creativity/originality, artistic ability, intepretation, pacing, editing, technical quality, and adherence to Challenge specifications. SimsPremiere will run between one and two Challenges per year.

Twist-A-Tale Challenge (2007) - Lodelday's* "Surface"

The Twist-A-Tale Challenge asked entrants to take a traditional fairytale and add a creative twist to make their own version. The movie could be of any genre or style and had to demonstrate a unique re-imagining of a classic tale.

Lodelday's "Surface" impressed us with her version of "The Frog Prince." The artistic interpretation, cinematography and atmosphere all contributed to an excellent movie. The movie was dark and moody while being hauntingly beautiful.

It's So Bad It's Good Challenge (2007) - Psuedofrog17's "Frank's Unimpressive Realisation"

The It's So Bad It's Good Challenge asked entrants to make a well made bad movie- a movie that was so bad that it was actually enjoyable to watch. This was harder than it sounds; entrants had to adhere to specific guidelines regarding what they couldn't do.

Pseudofrog17 did a fantastic job making a horrible movie. The incoherent storyline, random events, and funny narration added up to a bad movie that was truly, well, 'unimpressive' (in a good way of course).

Timewarp Challenge (2006) - Enigmartist's "Crisis Core Mars Bounty"

The Timewarp Challenge asked movie makers to execute a movie of any genre and style within a specific era. The era could span from the beginning of time to the 1970s or the future.

Enigmartist did a great job of creating a futuristic world and taking us into the life of a bounty hunter in 2025 on Mars. This action packed, fast paced movie was set to just the right music and had a great story.

Secrets Challenge (2005) - Eventsofmyhead's "The Crimson House Secret"

The Secrets Challenge asked movie makers to use the characters and lot we provided along with the theme "secrets" to create a movie of any genre and style.

Eventsofmyhead did a fantastic job of coming up with a unique and creative story about a house that holds a very mysterious and old secret. Not only was the story told well but the cinematography and editing were artfully executed.
